Škoda Scala無論外型、配備、空間或是質感都有高水準的表現,然而小改又進一步向上提升,首先在外觀Scala源自Vision RS概念車設語彙雕琢,小改Sscla於下氣壩強化線條比例,進而營造出比先前更寬扁且更具運動氣勢的視覺感受,另外搭配造型重新修改的燈組和配備Matrix LED智慧複眼頭燈,使其讓Scala神韻變得更加銳利有神。變革手法從車頭一路延伸至車尾,尾燈、全新廠徽字體與後下擾流等也有進行修改,讓銳利折線與分明稜角形塑完美收尾。

小改Scala變革進化延伸至座艙,原先座艙控台佈局以大面積似金屬暖色調髮絲紋飾板成為視覺重心,如今小改則改由麂皮鋪陳並一路延續至門板,雖然整體視覺不如以往來得醒目,但換得更出眾的座艙質感。除此之外中控螢幕也改為8.25吋,方向盤也換成HOD電容感應式,如此半自動駕駛輔助啟動後無需動方向盤得以更加輕鬆,而搭配的霧銀飾條點綴也讓細節質感更加精進。除了配備與質感進化,Scala在空間方面更有著不輸旅行車或休旅車的實力,不說基本狀態已有467公升容積,後座椅倒放後更是能一舉擴增至1,410公升,此外雙層設計也讓收納更顯靈活。

此次試駕為1.5升車型,動力部分依舊維持150hp/25.5kgm最大輸出,不過在ACT汽缸間歇系統則有進行改良,當引擎低負荷時系統會自動關閉二、三缸進排氣門,在減少燃油排放之餘也讓作動過程更加無感。
在兼顧節能之餘也不忘操駕本質,自踩下油門後就能感受到輕快的反應,同時一股推力也蓄勢待發,待轉速跨過2000rpm門檻後頗為帶勁的能量就持續湧現,甚至中段或再加速都有著令人滿意的表現,若嫌不足也有準備輸出反應更積極的運動化模式供切換。相較於台灣本島,馬祖南竿多為上下起伏路段,但Scala調校得宜的懸吊仍給予紮實穩定的乘坐感受,即使面對彎道也展現輕敏靈活的身手,就算將速度提高也不見慌張,反倒以火候十足的反應從容應對。

不少小改款車型頂多僅是外觀小針美容與加配備,小改Scala雖然也採相同手法,但外觀明顯的轉變及座艙質感大幅精進,配備方面雖無重大升級,但在使用上卻帶來更便利的操作,多項小幅升級加總讓小改Scala的轉變相當有感,當然整體的魅力與戰力也隨之提升。
